ball jarsBall jars were created in the 1883 by William Charles Ball and his brothers. They had originally worked with tin cans then in 1883 then moved to using glass and making glass containers as well as changed their company‘s name to Balls. Then in 1886 they moved into the canning business of making glass fruit jars. And now we come to the ball jars all know and love and use. Ball jars are still made today and used for canning and preserving. Ball jars from the 1886 and even the 70’s have become quite collector’s items as well. They were originally made with zinc lids.

Vintage Half Pint Blue Ball Jar - You will not find a ball jar like this anymore. Originally use for preserving fruits this jar comes in a clear blue glass color with the number 7 on the bottom. The lid is made of pure Zinc with beaded neck seal. A must have to anyone’s collection.

Ball Salt and Pepper Jars - This is in its original box where you get a 200 set. These are dated to be from 1971 and no more have been produced after it.

Green Pint Ball Mason Jar With Amber Swirls - What makes this one a collector is its green coloring and if you look closer you will also see swirls of amber glass color. It has the words Ball Mason on and it has its original porcelain lined lid.
